FreshCheck
Photograph it. Never lose it to the back of the fridge.

FreshCheck is a consumer app that turns a photograph of your shopping into a tracked pantry. A vision model reads the product name, the brand and the printed expiry date, and scheduled notifications tell you before anything goes off. It ships on both public app stores.

The hard part is not the camera. It is that a printed date is almost never printed the same way twice: twelve formats, stamped, embossed, half-worn, in any light. And a reminder is worthless if it does not fire, so the parse normalises every variant to one shape, and the notifications are scheduled server-side and land whether or not the phone has signal.
